Marvis Mini in the World

I previously wrote about the marvis mini's I designed and printed. After a wonderful WLPC conference where I gave about 160 away (a chunk to my awesome friends at Juniper!) I was asked if I'd share/make public the files. So I have :)

This was a fun side project that turned into a mass production experiment. Overall it went well, but I did notice some quirks between different runs. I got about 104 minis out of the roll of the main filament I used (CC3D Silk PLA Pro Silk Green PLA Filament) I barely touched the "top" filament I used (ZIRO Glitter PLA Filament, Mystical Series, Midnight Green) and of course the eyes didn't take much of my glow in the dark (DURAMIC 3D PLA Glow in The Dark Filament, Glow Green).

These models certainly aren't "perfect" and they take almost 2 hours each to print (12 in about 20 hours), not including the eyes. But they turned out good and I enjoyed seeing people try to figure 0ut what they were. My 3d printing expert friend Robert Boardman said he had some ideas to improve them so there may be a future update! But for now, if you want your own Marvis Mini check out the files on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6517143
